My Personal Dog Trainer

Training is a process, not a quick fix.

Dog training isn’t about “fixing” a dog. It’s about teaching new skills, creating structure, and helping dogs understand expectations within their real environment.

The MPDT Difference

Our Focus

Clear Communication

Clear communication is an easy skill to master, as dogs can effectively read body language, audible cues, and even changes in your mood. We give you and your dog the skills needed to communicate clearly and precisely, ensuring training is both effective and fun.

Consistency

Consistency is a key element to success in dog training. Whether you’ve chosen the board-and-train option, private training, or whole-family training, our programs promote consistency, allowing your pup to learn proper behaviors with anyone.

Foundational Obedience

Teaching foundational obedience, such as “place”, downs and loose leash walking, create a framework for good behavior. We focus on core skills that give your dog confidence, create a strong relationship, and build a foundation for continued skill building in more complex situations.

Training Model

The root of your success lies in understanding how and why training works. We work with dog owners to understand the fundamental elements of dog training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot and build on foundational skills.

Is Training Right For You & Your Dog?

Dog training is never a quick fix; it requires consistency and a lifelong commitment to providing your dog with clarity and guidance. Dog training is as much about training the dog as it is training the human. When there is a mutual connection and understanding of each other's roles, only then can training be truly successful.

Training is right for you if:

  • You want long-term improvement, not temporary control
  • You’re open to learning alongside your dog
  • You understand that consistency matters more than perfection
  • You value structure, clarity, and honest guidance

Choosing the right approach matters for both dogs and owners!

Board & Train

During this training program, your dog stays with our family. We work together on a training plan, tailored to you and your dog, teaching foundational obedience, manners and promoting consistency. You’ll get daily video updates with two in-person transfer training sessions at the end of it all. You will also receive lifetime training support for the dog via text, email or sessions if needed.

In-Home Private Training

Our private training options are completed from the comfort of your home, in your dog's everyday space. Choose from 3, 6, and 9 private session options or a fully customized training plan where we work on the skills that best meet the goals and needs of your family. The most effective dog training is a shared process among all family members. Family training involves every household member, teaching kids and adults the same cues, body language, and boundaries that promote a healthy relationship between dog and human.

Expected Results

Every dog acts and behaves differently, just like humans, driven by individual genetics, temperament, and past experiences. While we utilize proven methods to shape behavior, the speed and progress of training depend on your dog’s unique personality and the consistency maintained between sessions and beyond. Our goal is to provide both you and your pup with the tools needed to manage and improve behavior for a strong, lasting relationship.

What success really looks like.

Success isn’t about a perfectly behaved dog; it’s about:

  • Improved communication
  • Better impulse control
  • Clear expectations
  • A calmer household

Our most successful clients aren’t perfect. They’re consistent.
